The Strokes playing first show since '06
If you're like me, you love and miss The Strokes. If that's the case, I am the bringer of good news. After a 3-year hiatus from performing live, the NY quintet will be headlining the Isle of Wight Festival in the UK June 11-13. Good news for fans of the band who haven't had anything to look forward to since their third album First Impressions of Earth hit in January of '06.
Not that I'm dashing over to orbitz.com to buy any plane tickets, but if their UK shows are the tip of the iceberg for a US tour, then I'm in. We'll keep you posted.
