 | About Me: Let’s start with the basics. My name is Allie. That’s right, plain and simple, but definitely legit. Top Five Favorite Bands: Fall Out Boy, Anberlin, Starting Line, Motion City Soundtrack, and Paramore. (I also totally love Panic! at the Disco, the Postal Service, The Rocket Summer, Race the Sun and a few others here and there.) Background: I’ve kind of moved around growing up, but I consider Richmond the place where I grew up. After going to high school in the West End, I decided it was time to get away for awhile...a.k.a. going to college far, far away. I ended up at Auburn University, WAR EAGLE, where I enjoyed every minute of my four years and graduated in May of 2008 with a B.A. in Broadcast Journalism. After a summer of post-graduation extravaganzas in Auburn, I realized I was meant to be in a larger city. With much debating, I decided Richmond was the place to be…and that is when I joined the wonderful world of Y101! You can find me at plenty of shows at the National or rocking your late weeknights from 11-3a and Sundays from 4p-9p on the best station around - Richmond's New Rock Alternative - Y101!!
