On August 30th, 2004 Richmond was under siege from hurricane Gaston. As rainwater plowed into the capital city's sewer system, no one knew what was about to happen. Sewer lids flew into the air as the water exploded through downtown, knocking over stunned pedestrians and lifting up semi-trucks and thrusting them aside like toys, as a mini-tsunami headed toward the Shockoe Bottom. Once the 9-foot deep water receded, the city witnessed what had been living underneath in the sewer systems for possibly hundreds of years... Sludge. The mud, sewage, and waste appeared in a human-like form, but not quite fully developed. When approached by baffled onlookers, "It" fled to Belle Isle, where it would remain in exile until the time was right. 2006 will become the year of Sludge, as he helps lift the city out of the "dark times", and into a new shining era for the capital city, and its residents...

Actually, I'm just a dude who likes beer, shootin' hoops, playing guitar, talking about the one year I played high school football, playing XBOX, surfing myspace for really hot girls, and beer. 90% of my time is spent observing people, and then making of fun of them. No one in particular. It's very harmless, because I'm the biggest dork around. And I believe in less government control, and I will party with nearly anyone I meet. And the end of the world, probably by an asteroid, will happen within the next 17 years.

Thanks for checking out my page, and listening to The Morning Sludge.

Sludge Recommends: Dragonforce - Inhuman Rampage
This CD has been out for several months, and as a band, they've been "around", but I didn't get to see them live until Ozzfest this year. I couldn't stop laughing. These guys sound like they were put in the Star Trek transporter from the year 1983, and sent here to deliver a speed metal pizza. They crush. These guys can not only play amazingly, but their show is right out of Spinal Tap. The only problem is, it's not a joke, almost. It's kind of like watching a "tribute" band. People who know who Yngwie Malmsteen are probably already screaming, "Dragonforce is f**king god". To anybody under 25 who doesn't know what the British Metal Invasion was, let these guys take you there. I can't say I'll be listening to this CD next year, but it feels right for the moment. Hell yeah!
